Gone

I've seen death far too often At least in my case I've seen far too many a sealed coffin Where I had to turn my face Stood by too many gravesides Seen too many tears Lost too many loved ones, More than ever in the latest years Wondered about this thing, "death" Since I was quite young Read all the books about it Confused by every one From physical decay To spiritual existence we hope We need such a belief If we are to cope Read of all the different religions Their different views on death Where they believe the soul goes After it's last breath Can't say I'm any the wiser Still wonder about it all And wonder to this day If I'm ready for God's last call
