I'd this is definitely "A Hole In One"- perfect description , especially the way I used to play. Some other wit once described it as " A Good Walk, Spoiled". Our local course has just reopened (lockdown-Covid) . There are many warning signs at the clubhouse - The most alarming is " Players should wash their balls prior to playing" !

Great way to define golf. I've never played golf, but all my men do. I can see if your ball falls in the wrong place you could have problems.
