Golden Shovel Contest

by Craig Cornish

Chosen poem

'Be not the first by whom the new is tried

Nor yet the last to lay the old aside.'

by Alexander Pope.

GOLDEN SHOVEL What to be or not to be : What is already done or not yet done ! Why to waste time on the useless thoughts? Better first focus on your work by devotion. It's your skill on whom you can only depend . Be the warrior to proceed with new ventures. That is your challenge to be tried, whether you win or not, is not that important, yet progress and advancement are the prime factors to achieve your last goal : Over-all dynamism to follow ! Play your game honest and lay your cards open in the field. Be bold to put old ideas and thoughts aside. The last words taken from Be not the first by whom the new is tried. Not yet the last two lay the old aside. Alexander Pope - An Essay of Criticism.

Powerful Verse poetry, Anisha. Being transparent to others and changing as does your awareness by breaking the bonds of complacency and fear. Do what needs to be done that the people of our world evolve and become unified. Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your meaningful poetry, Anisha. This is my first visit to your poetry, but I'll be back, now that I found your voice. A poet friend (to be) in Texas, Bill

Initially I also thought that it's beyond my capability. Then I choose the poem with minimum words. As I started, the flow becomes fluent.. Hugs.
