Going Home

Going home, going home, To where it all began. Leaving my army family life, Back to the real family strife. Going home, going home, My heart gave out a groan. Remembering when I had left, Ten years on, feeling so bereft. Going home, going home, I never knew my father then, I never knew my Dad above, Never felt either's love. Going home, going home, Now I have more insight. My earthly family, now all gone. The Father's family and I are one. I am home at last. © Dave Timperley 15/09/2018
