God of angel armies
Rain down Your hope and joy
Fill our lives with your kindness
Peace that raises our belief
To the knowing that love is alive
Coloring our hearts and our lives
In hues of beauty and grace
Inspiration that feels like an embrace
Your presence enchanting the spirit
Breathing wonder through the feelings
Baptizing souls in endless brilliance
Like sun pouring out her wisdom
Moonlight reflecting heaven’s genius
Stardust luminating wild dreams
God of angel armies
Remind me why I am here today
A part of the human race, a child
Of the living God, who I praise
For His compassion, His gentleness
His blessings that encourage
My soul to linger on the shores
Where oceans roar and waves toss
Powerful, piercing the darkness
Reassuring minds of insights, strong
Longings caressing thoughts, ideas
With flames of passionate desires
Fires of promises, raging words
Freeing the muse to give back
To this old world, a piece of the heart
Songs of sincerity, serenity, sensitivity
Signs of the Savior’s love glowing
Flowing through veins of existence
Tenderness gripping the intimate truth
Of a feeling, thriving on His love
God of angel armies
Flourishing, growing, stirring
All the glory that is Yours, Your
Wonder, Your beauty and peace
Your forever gift… The Son
Who brings absolute peace, saving
Hearts from the darkness, the disgrace
The shame and dishonor, the humiliation
The ultimate destruction of hell’s fury
God of angel armies
I praise You for Your mercy
Your lasting love and grace
Your gentleness and kindness
Your never ending forgiveness
Your joy, hope and contentment
The Wonder that is Your truth
Poured out over hearts who need You!
Psalms 80:19 – KJV – Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
