This is a lovely haiku Sara....! I visualize the lone bird sitting on a gnarled branch when all the other birds have flown away

A lovely haiku which projects mixed emotions, Sara. While the flock of geese departs, a mockingbird stays behind to keep the old oak tree company. ~ Regards // paul

We have several families of Mockingbirds that nest here in our yard, so they hang around all year. Your visit and review are so encouraging Paul. Thanks, Sara
