Giving Thanks-2-For Someone Special

So sad, this year has naught in life to live. I find it hard to grasp the thanks to give. Yet, deep inside I know if I but see and look through eyes of tenderness there’ll be a moments breath and loving smile for me, from one who’s heart was open and carefree. It’s you so beautiful who led my way when down and outcast feelings came to stay and troubled thoughts again led me astray, through gentle words, my pain and fear allay. With hope my moody moments you’ll forgive for memories of you I can’t outlive. Your fragile form belies the truth of you, in strength your heart has guided me straight through the darkened lies of demons I have slew, and know that I will be there for you too. So, thank you for the feelings you have shown when life has left me cold and all alone for you have helped me see myself, I’ve grown. This year you’ve been the greatest gift I’ve known. 11/24/2017

gosh, Ralph, this sounds like someone very important in your life is very sick?? let me see if I can find clues in the other poem. I was thankful to see this one here that I had somehow missed. Maybe I have not read some other ones from November either.

I appreciate the fact that you wrote this in iambic pentameter! Not always easy... this flows like water James, the words so loving and honest. To find thanks in the darkest of times - that takes strength! We are growing, all of us...touching one... always, Laura

Thank you Laura. I'm sorry to say this has been a very difficult year for me and my family, this was written for someone who has helped me through it and has never realized how much they've helped.
