Give Up

You were a dreamer like I am in your younger days. Seeing the world through romantic eyes hurts, but we do anyway. You're grown now, got a woman who you say saved you and I love her for that but I gotta tell you: If it wasn't too late, I'd make you mine. If people could wait and just take their time... but no one does...life's too short. Us girls, we look at you saying thats what we'd want. You keep them believing in love but you make me give up. Losers are calling out my name while all the yous are being 'saved'. I don't think I'm gonna look anymore. Close my mind and close all doors. Why even try when there's nothing to win? I'm gonna sit right here. I don't believe in Boston. You make the world believe in love but you make me give, give, give up. Yeah, you make me give up.
