Give God Hell, Gran

Give God Hell, Gran. 17/03/1984 Crisp golden leaves lie scattered Above the freshness of the soil, Shattered lives stoop and hover Unable to to raise a smile. Absent people , static minds, Only the soil remains for these Mortal bones. All that crap about religions And gods, they nail the lids Then pile on the sods, You rot and lay inactive Like dead people do, So take off your halos Theirs no place for you , No worries , no more , No return. Decades later My letter to you gran . 25/02/2024 I fear death, that which you embraced . I fear life, the one in which you thrived, I exist, and watch in the shadows , Of my disappearing dreams. You lived for others, my guiding light. You loved your religion, your God As a child, I saw only a grave , Men with shovels and like my dreams You disappeared, I wish you'd stayed. As you loved me when no one else did. If there is a Heaven my dearest gran I hope you stayed true to form, A flavoured tongue and gave God hell , As we unravel in a world that is torn . Give God hell gran, tell him clear and loud, To rid our world of suffering, hate and war , Else your devotion was based on a lie . Ask Him why the few are ascending, Why the hearts of Innocents left to die ? Give Him hell gran , as the world idly stands by , As man wantonly destroys His Creation. Without a heart , another blind eye , turning Bring peace and kindness to every nation. Now is not the time to mince your words gran, Open his eyes to a world full of pain. All I want is for you to give God hell gran, And show him, our world filled with shame . Give God hell gran , that our dreams are not in vain That in Heaven , there is a greater master plan Tell Him to remove the blinkers of man And make Us understand we're all the same. If anyone can give God hell I know you can . Just tell God, enough is enough . Love you always Dan
