Ghost Jack
From the house of the dead
sprung a ghost cloaked in red
and a tall hat in black
with a name on it, Jack...
I screamed loud at Ghost Jack.
It was too late to backtrack!
I shouldn't have gone
near the house of the dead,
with the windows half shuttered
and the paint peeling dry,
Jack looking out at me
as I walked by.
But now he was OUT,
and, look, he'd a knife...
I ran and I ran
and yelled for dear life...
But then there were people
and he disappeared.
It was singles he sought,
like me with my fear.
