Georgia Ruby

I would say I miss you But I never got to meet you I got to hold you But I never got to see your smile, I got to stare at your perfect beautiful face But I never got the chance to see the sparkle in your eyes, My heart broke that day Never to heal again, Now I live with an ache Deep within my soul, I wish I could have seen you And had the pleasure to watch you grow But I was denied that for reasons I don’t know All it needed was a single breath And it could have all been different. But just know one thing my baby girl, Daddy loves you so, And that I can’t let the pain go Because it’s the only thing I have left of you to hold.

Fauxcroft, this poem moved me, and would have won first place in my contest "Non romantic love" had you dated your poem at the bottom as requested...I sent you a soupmail to give you a heads up, but you never got back to me...that is a pity, because I loved your poem but unfortunately I had to disqualify your entry...do not give up, try again I do like your poetry. Emile.

Oh no! Well that will teach me to read more carefully. I really appreciate that you let me know my error and that you thought highly of the poem, which means a lot to me.
