Gently Now, Gently
New love has arrived.
I feel so alive.
Like a cool stream, my way it comes wending.
I sense my long drought will soon be ending!
A dinner date is set.
We're not lovers yet.
Anticipation looms. So exciting!
You greet me with eyes soft and inviting.
You lead me to dance.
Since I treasure romance,
already you are proving how well you know
this side of me. I love the grace you show
I am not a lass
who takes things very fast.
There's still so much about you I must learn,
yet small and sweet advances I'll not spurn.
A long and luscious kiss
I will not want to miss.
Gently now, gently kiss my neck and behind my ear.
Then with slow delight - press your lips to mine, dear!
