Genie-Atric

I wish I could find a Genie to get three wishes more Then that would be enough because then I would have four Choices, choices, choices so many on my list wealth, fame or fortune those three I would resist Health would be my first choice for each soul that I love If that wish is granted I'll thank my God above Next would be adventure no boring life for me going many places a lively life care free The last wish I'd wish for is to know a woman's mind This old guy’s kinda curious the mysteries he might find If my wishes aren’t granted dear friends I won’t complain I've had so many blessings so my happiness will not wane! For Chantale Anne Cooke's "What Are Your Wishes Poetry Contest" Written January 20th 2020.

Cool, cool poem, Sir Richard. Love the double entendre in the opening stanza. Very Zen. Looking forward to 1-20-21, God-willing. Blow the trump on that day! Love and more love always

Hi Richard, your creativity has no bounds, my friend. Your last wish is one, I think, you shall never come to know. Richard at his best. Your first wish, Health, is always important. Then we have adventure, this is always important. To me, every day is a new adventure, just waiting to take place. The journey through your words is always a pleasure, Richard. I think you have the greatest wish of all, Richard, the love of a special lady. Stay blessed. Your friend always....Mike.

Great poem, Rich: A wise lady told me once, “If you got you health- you got your wealth.” Best, SuZ

You have excelled yourself here, Richard. Not only is the rhyme within the poem most appealing...but underneath this apparent and innocent joviality there lies a powerful message. A wonderful creed to live by! My very best regards. :) john

"The last wish I'd wish for is to know a woman's mind"~~ Trust me, you do NOT want to go there lol jk, Hope all your wishes are granted. (ps - easy for you to say you don't want wealth, fame and fortune, since you already have those!)

"Health would be my first choice, for each soul that I love" That wish alone, is all my heart would want granted. I can't hep but giggle at your last wish. A woman's mind is like a maze indeed. :) Thoughts going in many different directions. Well, it's true. :) Brandy

Just re-read this. Title drew me in again. Your words about health carry even more weight as this world-wide crisis grows. Stay well. - Gail

It’s fun to think of what you’d wish for but to remember your blessings so much that if you never have those extemporaneous wishes come true, you’d still be happy!

LOVE This one, Richard. The first wish is MINE too. I got my adventure when young, thank god for that, because I sure ain't seeing it NOW. As for understanding women, good grief. That is easy as pie. You read their poems so you KNOW what they like!!!

I love this poem Rick, did you ever watch a film called what women want with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt - it's really good, Mel Gibson accidentally gets into the mind of any woman, it is hilarious! Blessings, Jennifer.

A cheerful and uplifting poem that expresses the joys of life and that gives thanksgivings to the Lord! Superb writing my friend BUT to know a woman's mind? Why Richard? WHY? Let the mystery remain a mystery my friend, in that way we would never lose interest in the fairer creation of our Lord! Good luck my good friend! Blessings!

I've always said, If I had just one wish...I would wish to have a million more wishes (lol) But I do like your wish to be in the mind of a woman.. I might have stopped a lot of (no's) in my life, but might have gotten a lot of (yes's) too! Best wishes in the contest, Rick. Charlie

Be careful what you wish for, a woman's mind can be quite a land mine, lol, well done and may all your wishes come true and more.
