Gems From the Ocean

I can feel the rocks as smooth as silk From the ocean’s softening waves With designs that differ with each one They blend together on the beach In this place I visit, to collect them Shined by water like beautiful gems I listen to them tumbling to greet me The ocean brings me gifts to bring home And I cherish what lasts in my hands As they ground me, every time Heidi Sands 10/14/20
