Garden of Lies
We had it all, for the whole world was at out feet
A perfect home, our lives felt so complete
But doubts crept in, and trust then fell apart
Accusations, that tore straight through my heart
We lost it all, the rift became too wide
Now I'm alone, with all these tears that I can't hide
I saw your kiss, you didn't notice I was there
I saw your eyes, so full of love and care
Her scent was sweet, it hung upon the air
My pain was great, reaching deep everywhere
Your eyes met mine, you knew that you'd been caught
Your guilt was clear, from the first moment that we fought
Everything dies In this garden of lies
Everything dies, everything
Clouds fill the skies In this garden of lies
Oh it's too quiet now.. for the song birds don't sing...
You ran to me, you said it was a big mistake
But trust was lost, all we had was heart ache
You tried in vain, to cover up what I saw
I made you leave, I couldn't take any more
The sun goes down, to the sounds of my cries
The moon shines pale, upon our cold garden of lies
Everything dies In this garden of lies
Everything dies, everything
Clouds fill the skies In this garden of lies
Oh it's too quiet now... for the song birds don't sing...
The garden of lies, is all that remains
Memories caught, etched deeply with pain
Sweet flower scents, to torture my soul
Tired jaded blooms, from the love you stole
Everything dies In this garden of lies
Everything dies, everything
Clouds fill the skies In this garden of lies
Oh it's too quiet now... for the song birds don't sing...
