Futility of War
A landscape pot holed crater ridden
By the ravages of war
A sea of barbed wire
With the fallen as the crest of the wave
No place for humanity’s fragilities
Soldiers killing soldiers
As Politicians talk each other to death
All to defend an imaginary line
Drawn on mother earth
A nations pride
Or a Politian’s ego
Payed for in the blood of others
And in the lost generations
Never to see this day
When a nation fell silent
To remember the futility of war
