I am full of eager happiness Retirement has grabbed me by the hands and danced with me Every day is a joy I can do what I want, when I want I have eliminated all of the have-to’s, My life is full of have-tos. The worst part of my job had been the drive to and from. I retired six months ago. My car has only been out of the garage six times in seven months. Enthusiasm and excitement parade in my mind daily I am a painter, a poet, a dreamer, a schemer My life is full of exuberant joy. Words twirl and whirl toward me in my dream state. Cartoons insist on being put down on canvases. My hobbies have become my life. Retirement is a God-send.
