Can you imagine…
If every soul on earth
Were willing to let go
Of all their pain and hurt
To give up on the blame
All their bitterness and grief
Everything that made them feel
Like they couldn’t find any relief?
Can you imagine…
If every heart that lives
Took a moment to listen
To the hopes and dreams
The feelings of those they meet
Both the good and bad, happy and sad
Everything that made them feel
Worthy or unworthy, hopeful or hopeless?
Can you imagine…
If everyone in the whole world
Would listen to the voice of conscious
Give into those feelings of allegiance
Toward goodness, kindness and belief
In the heart who isn’t afraid to whisper
Humility, compassion and gentleness
With a sense of truth and giving?
Can you imagine…
If every man and woman in life
Were filled with thoughtfulness
Toward those they come to know
The ones who chance into their time
Where prayers for warmth are breathed
Soothing wounds with sincerity and faith
In the One who gives us all a chance?
Can you imagine…
If everybody would simply believe
With all their heart and soul, trusting
That there will be the opportunity
To give back a part of the sweet joy
That comes from living humbly
Giving all the love that can be known
To those who know God’s presence?
A present that lifts hearts and souls
Brings hope to the weary
Smiles to the hopeless
Inspirations and imaginations
That tell us all we have what it takes
To give back to this world
Parts of ourselves, the love that lives
To console and comfort, to accept
The truth that God is always there
Available at the thought of a prayer
Bringing peace, joy and love
That will awaken the angels above
To feel the thrill of this promise
To reach out with compassion
And give back without conditions
A love that only exists because
You imagined it could restore our planet!
