Line of inquiry: track where lies the fulcrum of the fragrance of a rose, then likewise find within, your soul.
petals, fragile – sensitive as the silence
who reveals the lost words, the evidence
spiritual inklings, listening
for hints of spice and mystery
murmuring beneath the frail majesty
blessing the soul who can see
what it means to link the heady aroma
of a moment…
to the gentling songs, growing
in the moments who contemplate
fresh blossoms and soothing colors
whispers of red and softest coral,
vibrant pink and buttery hues
stirring the heart, the muse
so there is nothing more potent
than the breaths of green and powerful
tones meant to send…
a graceful fragrance, like truth
poured out into the hesitant flow
of soothing joy and quiet notes
subtle hints of laughter
in the delicate way the petals shift,
penetrating the spirit
with the viscous music – resting
on the dew collected against the downy
verdures, despite the thorns…
who remember, even the suggestion
of joy can still imitate
the incessant sorrow, the mourning
who comes to those who feel
the thorns spike, despite the hints
of love and peace, the hopeful
scent of a rose – heady and hesitant
sighing against the spirit
who hears God’s voice in the shadows
of her careless breath.
