Frozen In Time-2
Frozen in time-2
I remember,
not so long ago
Sirocco winds,
would blow,
igniting our
passions embers,
who could
contemplate September.
Then the leaves
changed their hue
as did your complexion
Hindsight,
illuminates my mind
with perfect
20/20 reflection
My jokes
lost their appeal
your smile
was misplaced...
My love,
was still very real
yours disappeared
without a trace.
Winter's chill
came suddenly...
and with a vengeance...
you were gone
without my name
even being mentioned,
to your friends or mine,
your polar vortex
left me
frozen in time.
An avalanche of emotions
pummeled me
from all around
left me depressed,
compressed,
concealed and
congealed, underground
I was caught off guard
paralyzed
and plastered...
by this
freakish storm
of an
unnatural disaster
I imagine the day
when sojourners
trekking over barren tundra
they find me petrified,
buried six feet under.
They spy a flower
extended from what
appears to be
a mans hand...
When they dig me out,
that's when they'll
understand, that,
A one sided mountain
is not
worth the climb,
and a one sided love
will
leave you
frozen in time.
