From the Towpath

A collaboration with Mandy Tams I peer into your depth bypass my reflection See an image of another day out of time, Mingled with spirit calling for one’s affection Lurid; evidence still of industrial grime. Yet this fertile inspiration moved a nation Arteries connected living channels of hope, Creation of working class whom knew their station Seeking a desire for work each day they did grope. To touch the water ripples flows and circles spread The cut healed with sutures holding tight bank to bank, My sentiment grows with each circle cast thy bread Eyes look into mine from the waters depth are blank. Bypass my reflection I see yours looking up Your maker took those with no silver spoon to sup. © Harry J Horsman 2013 © Mandy Tams 2013

oh gosh I have not seen or heard of Mandy in such a while. And to think I almost missed seeing this sonnet you wrote with her. Don't know how it got past me. You two did a great job together Harry . I want to also thank you for your congrats to me at the blog. I don't suppose you ever heard of Richard perry over there in England, did you? Are you off on your vacation now, by the way? See you after next Tuesday!

I truly enjoyed this seamless collaboration, Harry & Mandy. I am sure that life was much better before the industrial revolution, even though life has made giant steps forward since then! Regards // paul

Interesting collaboration. There is still a working class but it is getting less work to more office and other jobs. Enjoyed reading you two's work. Thanks for dropping by my page and leaving your comments. Sara

A fine job both of you. I've always felt I was born too late. I should have lived long ago back in the horse and buggy days. Too many people, too much industry, too much. I long for a simpler more laid back life style. Love this . God Bless, JB
