From Green Seeds To Family Trees
Why can’t we be like autumn leaves
Falling in love with each other?
When I see the colorful leaves
I think of all of us as sisters and brothers
We all start from creation by God
Like green seeds we begin
And we grow like trees with souls
brown roots deep within
We branch out reach toward blue cloud
Colorful leaves hang in wind
Leaves don’t fight they all unite
To dance and prance no sin.
As we age we know our place
In our fabulous family tree
Given grace in autumn’s wake
Like leaves we begin falling
Falling from our family tree
Falling in and out of love
Angel voices calmly calling
Us from up above.
Colorful leaves sing to me
Of autumn and family trees
Of reasons we grow
Of hope once old
to be born again faithfully.
