Inspired by Silent One's "In the Absence of Complication" poetry contest.

Fright In the absence of complication, When trials and tribulations cease... Grasp sapphire skies with sanguine eyes. Watch the musing of your peace. And when the sunlight fades to starlight, As the icy rock of life, Sailing fearless, naked dreaming, In a night once filled with strife. Beaming broadly without candor, Trailing seamless wishful flight. Into the parlor of a demon Dressed in playful pink and white. Then the morning from the twilight Leaving darkness to the night. Demon, devil daring danger Lifts the veil that hides your fright.

So Poe like--very well done! Reminded I am of the Raven. How boring it would be if everyone walked around all day long with a smile stamped on his or her face, never changing. If not challenged from the outside...then the inside must rise up, for it is our nature to to take daring chances.
