friendship

I thought he needed me,
I took him in my arms,
I put my two hands down
On its centennial trunk,
I stayed still,
His silence made me understand,
That it was me,
Who needed him.
This oak offered me his friendship.

Ahhh!!! We all need someone at some time in our life. Reads like you found your strong oak of an older person. Way to go. Sara K.

What a sweet poem. It is always sad to see a tree cut down. Trees are thick or weak, healthy or well, strong or tall, but we certainly need them all Yann. Everyone needs a hug. Today I am hugging your poem Yann.

This is one of your best poems dear Yaan. Friendship becomes stable when both sides recognize the need for each other.
