FRIEND-ship

Relationships are built On foundations. Where some are firm, Others are flimsy. We often forget What relationships are. With a change of title Comes immense pressure. ‘Boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’ In terms of ourselves. Even ‘husband’ or ‘wife’ Or endearing titles you use Come with expectations Nobody is ready for. So often we forget As these expectations blind us And the title distracts us, So often we forget To just be a friend With an additional title.
Continue being my friend In the relationship And watch how easy It starts to become.
