Friday Feeling

FRIDAY FEELING Finally, my leisure time has come Ringing alarm clocks are now all gone I gave forty six years to working hard Don't work at all, except in the yard And only occasionally, will I sleep in Yesterday's gone, a new day begins Funny how time just slips away Especially when we work all day Even though I'm fully retired Laziness is surely not desired I feel like it's Friday every day Never knew it would feel this way Grateful to receive retirement pay 9 March 2018 For the contest sponsored by Silent One

Congrats on your winning poem. I can relate, Curtis, though sometimes retirement feels you are working seven days a week.

Yes, Line, retirement often feels like we are working seven days a week but it's a 'good tired'. I am so grateful to enjoy good health and be able to do all that I do and still, I never seem to finish. I simply love retirement. Thanks for the congrats. It's always good to hear from you.

Thanks, Line! I have more Fridays than any day of the week. Been that way for the past 9 years since I retired. I am now looking forward to my 75th birthday this St. Patrick's Day and glad to be well enough to do what I please. I appreciate your support so very much. You help me enjoy all of my 'Fridays'!

Thank you, Charlie. I'll celebrate my 75th birthday on St. Patrick's Day. I have been fully retired for nine years and I truly love it. It gives me time to write and enjoy reading what others write. I appreciate your invaluable support.
