Freudian Slip

the chalice of need contains no poison ~ but might cause a herpes lip

scoffed the leper to the serpent ~ who was trying to sponge out a sip

the snake dissed the quip quietly ~ his tongue had already lost its tip 

but was heard under his breath saying ~ how’d i end up in such a kip

Hahaha funny haikus, David it hit the spot--remember you are more than a poet! lol okay, To paraphrase Billy Joel—you’ll throw daggers at them, but you’re always a poet to me. Glad to hear your on holiday as most of us are, thanks for always being there for us on holidays, some of us just keep it to our selves, but still make time to comment.

Heya Anaya, I’m on holiday so soup time is pretty limited, oh you know what I mean, Billy himself has some great lyrics, (we didn’t start the fire it’s been always burning since the world’s been turning) is one of my favourites, humans and trouble seem to go hand in hand, I’m delighted my Monoku hit the spot with you “no daggers” just a bit of fun, cheers David
