Lovely snippet of a poem. I suffer from insomnia too, but rarely. Old age is my foe.

thanks for dropping by, Victor, and for sharing your thoughts. I agree...old age is my enemy and one I lovingly endure :-) Have a wonderful day, Sara

thanks for appreciating my insomnia poem. I suppose we all suffer from it from time to time. Thank goodness right now I have no troubling sleeping. Have a pleasant evening, hugs, Sara

Dear Sara, Your description of sleeplessness is quite original, and I acknowledge it. I can empathize if you're having difficulty. It's something that I've had trouble with on several occasions.

thanks for stopping by, dear Sotto, and for sharing your 'sleepness' experience. I actually no longer suffer from insomnia. My head hits the pillow, and I'm gone. A few years ago, my insomnia probably came from stress and uncertainty in my personal life that oozed into my restless, discontent subconsious. :-) Have a great evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

I could say the same, lol. A forced friendship though where I have to cheer and look deep in her eyes. Cheers Sara.

As we get older it becomes harder to get a good night's sleep. When I was working 03.30 was my get up time but now retired I often wake at that hour. Yawn, Tom

I agree with you, Tom. Sleep is illusive as we get older. Boo Hiss! I do as you do. While working full time, I woke at 5:15...Even now some 10 years after retiring, my internal clock wakes me at 5:15 sharp. :-)

Sara, I like your unique way of describing insomnia. If you struggle with it, I feel for you. I've struggled with it at various points in my life. Good luck in your battle with that guy.
