Freedom and Bondage
Remaining rooted to the ground
Flexing her grey wings without a sound
A sliver of light cracks open the night
Drenched in memories within her sight
An ordinary soul patched up and glued
Stretching and moaning, swaying with moods
Strong arms around her like a cage
Her inner voice calming like a sage
Freedom and Bondage live close by
Setting caged thoughts free, if only she tries
This smog surrounds her like a cancer
Her body lifts, her arms stretched out
like a feathered dancer
