Free Cee Gouged Gardenias
GOUGED GARDENIAS
I remember chamomile
And how it made me feel
As she sat opposite me but not in opposition
For allies were we in a world woven by wonder
Where thunder was forbidden
With diamonds hidden in every promised verb
And a wealth of knowledge in a single simple word
While we sipped on nectar in September
Yes, I remember chamomile
She ought be near me now as roses bloom
Sipping exquisitely from a cup of cherished china baptized by her lips divine
While I stared strenuously into eyes that mirrored Merlin’s magic
And foretold my destiny that she alone would decisively design
With legs crossed demurely and shoulders arched in a most distinctive manner
As we shared tea in a garden where gouged gardenias beg to heal
Yes, I remember chamomile
She ought but she is naught upon this day
As I revamp a history to more aptly suit the taste of a mournful man
Hiding flaws with fallacies and deception with a perception rooted in remorse
Wherein, of course, lies the truth proud with profundity
And the silhouette of yesterday blurred by the memory of that September
Yes, I remember chamomile
And how it made me feel
