Kim, I really like how you strike a balance and set limits on how tight to squeeze. That says a lot in a few words and makes me think of all the different levels of communication that we need to consider. Heartfelt is good, of course.

this is lovely, Kim. I was curious if you had a sample of the kind of dodoitsu you wanted for your contest. The one you showed on your contest page has a third line with many more syllables than 7. I had never heard that expression before and I even used to watch many Laverne and Shirley shows!

Any dodoitsu is fine. One with a little humor would be great. I listed 2 rules for the contest. The rest was fodder. I did add a note for where a poet can find two recent examples. Thanks, Andrea! :)
