Francine's Flowers
With a milk and honey fragrance,
these silken buds are delicate.
Emerging from their green framework,
they ascend the walls in springtime.
Ivory, gold, and rubies climb.
Rising like nature’s skyscrapers
Dainty children are beautiful.
Cherish these ephemeral gems.
They scent the spring air everywhere.
Let them grow and proliferate.
They bend to the wind like maidens,
brushing their hair in springtime air.
Risen from a winter’s slumber,
in large groups they disseminate.
