"Grief must not be stifled; it must have tears, an outlet, a sigh, words."

                                          Quote by  _Constance

In my thoughts poetic words are swirling, tumbling and whirling like caged birds; trapped and demanding to be free, Oh, I must find paper and pen to release them. My muse is screaming and words are fluttering, in my head or is that my heart; I start to write and sad poems come, words bleeding and dripping from my pen. Do all poets struggle just like me, as I pen my words and weep; the writing done I sigh the pain, my muse has been set free for now. Memories are all I have, and the rain is falling outside my window; and the pages of my life flutter, past the ornate gate where voices murmur; and at night I kiss dead lips and withered hands.

“ pain, my muse has been set free for now. Memories are all I have,,” this resonates so strongly. And I think many too can relate to the healing or cathartic effect of poetry and how our muse sometimes comes from real life experiences and wanting to move on while sharing themselves. powerful write this is! felt your emotions. Some of us write to express not to please and you are one them i can feel sincerity of your words. Always. And i also love the flow of this. Fave

I love your sad poems. To please others, I try to make my poems happy. Still, since my accident last July, I feel as you wrote in your beautiful last line: I kiss dead lips and withered hands.

I felt a range of emotions as I read your poem. I felt the darkness from your inner turmoil/grief and your yearning to release the grief and pain. You must've felt a sense of relief with your muse being set free for now...your muse is beautiful. Your poem is beautifully soulful. hugs, Sara

Your poem is a remarkable masterpiece that effortlessly captures the profound essence of a resplendent and steadfast beauty. It resonates with the tumultuous emotions that encompass the grieving process, painting an exquisite portrait of the internal strife and unyielding longing to unleash pent-up sentiments through the art of verse. Your poetic prowess shines brilliantly as you liken the very words that flow from your pen.

Dear Constance, Your poem is such a powerful expression of the tumultuous emotions of grieving. Your words vividly depict the internal struggle and the overwhelming desire to release pent-up emotions through poetry. Your imagery, comparing poetic words to caged birds wishing to be set free, is incredibly evocative. The sense of urgency and desperation to capture these thoughts before they slip away is palpable throughout the poem. As you delve into the act of writing and the cathartic release it brings, you convey the raw pain and sorrow of loss with excellent clarity. The juxtaposition of memories, rain, and the fluttering pages of life creates a haunting atmosphere that lingers long after reading. Your poem touches me and those who have experienced grief and the longing to preserve memories through written words. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and poignant piece. Blessings, Daniel

Jay, thank you for the compliment on my writing, and my poem. I do both, I love to carry a journal and often I am writing in it as everything I see and feel inspires me. Often a thought comes out of nowhere. Going back in old journals is really wonderful, blessings and hugs, Constance
