Fragile Love and Cheating Hearts

Fragile things fall easily No one takes the time to see Care and love need to be taken Or there will be lots of breaking When you think it doesn't matter You made my heart crash and shatter Into pieces small and slivered Pain sinks in and I shivered From the coldness that occurred As you said those dreadful words With hateful eyes that pierced into My soul that you turned black and blue You took for granted from the start The love that was inside my heart Cheating and running around I broke down the day I found A new flame inside our bed Visions filling up my head Of her wrapped around you tight Passions starting to ignite With a love that was not me Erasing all the history And a past I thought was real Now I see somebody steal All my dreams of a great life With me as your loving wife

Very heartbreaking and deeply emotional. Sadly, I think we have all been there before. It is a shame that couples don't seem to stay together anymore. A very well written poem, Robin, very nicely done...You might like my poem, "Scarred Heart"...Thank you very much for the kind comments, once again!
