Fragile Hearts--You'Re Far Away
WHEN YOU'RE FAR AWAY
F ar, far away you wandered off from our gate
R eleasing all the warmth that binds us : that in
A nticipation, I scanned through every
G ift which may remind me of your affection...
I nside nooks or corners of our room. The closets
L eave a whiff of musk-- breathing it -- and in silence
E ntrusting this fragile destiny to godly winds.
H ow will i ever know the end of war’s final call?
E ven night prayers hold me captive among lost stars
A ssuming dear life shall find us on the hills again...but,
R est eludes me while the moonlight dips low, lower
T esting how brave our hearts could be : I am under
S eige. I fold your robe; press it on my bosom...looking far, far away.
