Four Eyed Cranium
Icy zephyrs slice through my cloak, a spectral wind,
Exhale of dread, shudder and hasten, tremors awaken,
Sensation of unseen gazes, pivot, yet no soul in sight.
Hehe, narrow escape, her beauty, a tantalizing treat,
morsel I yearn to savor, if you catch my drift,
smirk unfurls across my visage as I skulk and stalk,
trickle of anticipation as I admire her sway.
Breach my sanctuary with a thunderous lock,
Gooseflesh rises, dismiss it, merely the chill,
Uncertain, I shutter the blinds before shedding my coat,
Fingertips smart as I brew a mug of molten chocolate.
Cruel temptress, dart and weave, striving to glimpse,
Scaling a neighboring oak, yet nothing, throat grumbles,
Masked shadow, neighbors crumble, seize the phone.
Summoned by a neighbor, why would they beckon?
Brows knit, something's amiss, I open blind,
Darkness reigns, I hear breaths, a hello leaves my lips,
A hollow tone, I stare at it, disconnect, gaze out again.
Approach, my sweet petite morsel, baste you just right,
Succulent mahogany, savory tangy rinds, mmmh,
She ventures outside, she's mine, a feast awaits,
An all you can feast gavotte, tiny whine and dine.
Survey the path crossing the street, bang on the door,
Slowly it creaks, mirror directly before me,
The reflection dipped crimson, is that my image,
It moves, I remain still, is this… is this a dream?
That's because you're me, we have a meal to prepare...
Impossible, I've done nothing… you're mad!
Then where did you vanish? I don't know, I can't...
Now I comprehend, ventured for a slow roast.
Slathered with a ruby sauce and gravy with toast.
