Forgotten - Tanka 2

tall evergreens bow
to escape a thunderstorm
forgetting blue skies,
the sun's return is promised
but your cold lips, I ignore.

Rhonda, I love this tanka, just a wonderful entry for the contest, best of luck and thank you for your kind words on my poem, o the pain, yes my cat was old and sick, and in the end suffering, so I had to do the right thing, although it broke my heart . . .
