Forever Faithful

Merciful and loving Father,
Thank You for forgiving my faults and flaws
and fortifying me with the favor of Your friendship.
I fervently vow to You, my fidelity and loyalty.
I will be Your faithful servant forever,
for You are my fortress in times of great fear.

Sovereign Shepherd, You offered Your firstborn Son
as a sacrificial savior for the sins of mankind.
I will follow in His footsteps, forgiving others
as You so frequently save me from my failings.

My Divine Father, my Friend, my God,
I'm fond of feasting on the fine fruits
of the Holy words offered to Your fold...
the fealty of Your devout flock, and I face my future
with forbearance, as prophecies are being fulfilled.

The fact that you consider your Father, (Our Father) is an act of a good Daughter. A good soul speaks these words. A lady I would like to envision taking her place next to a Saint Philomena or Germaine Cousins, maybe getting to hold the cloak of The Mother, as a child once again, processioning down a Great Hall, the birds singing...eyes bulging, feathered chests pounding with great joy having learned to fly. God Bless The Good Sisters and Daughters. True Beauty.

I hope I never give Him a reason to question my love for Him. Writing these lines was good for my soul. Thanks, Jude.

Sometimes a poem can do more for the soul than a 1000 sunsets and a 1000 Dawn's.
