Forbidden Fruit
You could never admit to me that you thought I was attractive
So I held everything in and just waited for things to happen
on their own
And you know what happened while I was waiting
I ended up alone
I want so bad to change the tone of this poem
but how else do you depict losing something
that you never even got to own
I never wanted you to just throw me a bone
Or to lay a kiss on me that I felt down to my soul
because truthfully I wanted more than to feel wanted
By you
a sincerity like mines come once in a blue moon
I wanted us to pull through all the bull
and plant roots
you will always be my forbidden fruit
and I will always crave your juice
