This morning when I woke up
The rain tapped on my window
I rose, took my hot coffee
And woke up, drowsy, slow
In your heart across the ocean
My emerald eyes smile in you
Like your mocha eyes can warm
My heart and soul like they do
Although I cannot see you
My heart sees what's important
Comes alive inside and opens
My self that first was dormant
Through the oceanic distance
I feel you live within me
And thus, my love, we will dance
For all the world to see
