FOR ALL AROUND US WE ARE BLIND
My brokenness hides in your arms
As shattered shards that seek protection
Your eyes are blind to imperfection
Too bright to see, sunlight blinds
Eyes move too fast to really mind
While you just give me all your warmth
In your love I see me whole
In my scared eyes you are all-seeing
I give to you my tiny being
I love your eyes, they hold me tight
As I look deep into your soul
You glue me back with your embrace
I guide you with unending patience
Like you guide me, and so we balance
Thus our love grows and we repair
With slow but never halting pace
With love and laugh and gentle care
One day, my love, that day I’ll find
You waiting for me, I will touch you
For you do hug me, oh, please do
We are much stronger then, and oh
We won’t need seeing eyes, or legs too
For all around us we are blind
And you nor I do really mind.
