Footsteps

Whose heart has my footprint? Whose life have I changed? Who cant live wihout me? Who is more than a friend? The path that I walked Had so much pain Found you must talk To see straight again. The path has flowers Bedecking the way The fine april showers That are saying, Hey Look at the sunshine Look at life now The pain's far behind you No more wrinkled brow Cos you now belong Your path is all sun Life is so rosy Happiness has begun So where is that footprint And whose have I got? Whose whispering I love you, Forget me not Just like that flower Happiness spreads Giving me the power To lift my head To the sky and say "Thank you" again Cos the path that i follow No longer has pain. So my footprint is placed Firmly on the heart That can't be replaced Even though were apart

I see the path takes me back to the beginning again. I don't have any footprints, but the starlight has definitely inspired me. Great poem Seren, don't know exactly how I missed it, but glad I went back.

Footsteps of life do indeed create imprints. It's how we read them, and address them. Just like feelings....
