Some woodland creature
   Passed this way not long ago
   Footprints in the snow
   A sign that life still goes on
   In this silent winter world

What a coincidence you emailed me today. I was thinking about you this morning, wondering why I hadn't seen any postings from you? Well, your tanka about foot prints is somewhat similar to one I wrote some time ago. We will be experience snow in my neck of the woods before December is over. Hate the stuff, if you must know. I loved your entry Barbara! When I think of snow, animals always come to mind and I marvel how they seem to keep alive and keep warm. I love to see long haired cattle. I took a picture of a really curious cow in Ireland who posed for me. Congratulations on your wonderful win!
