Obviously fiction! I've been happily married for 41 years.
My man’s veiled message unclear
I’ve dallied for four long years
Sis, have I ever been
Fooled!
Turns on the charm on a whim
Parades what you saw in him
Just a tad so you are
Fooled
There’s not a ring
not a vow
no bent knee
no not now
no ball and chain allowed
His blue eyes like a hot Summer’s day vertigo
My inflamed lips can’t tell him where to go
Fooled, forever fooled
Without a snow white gown
Relationship’s cooled
Steals gravy and biscuits
Cold eats with no thought to please
Won’t ask the right question
Less fortunate I’m on lease
Milk~of~the cow
(yuck)
Fooled, forever fooled
This fish won’t take a bite
Swimming four long years
And it just ain’t right
Holding out for a big rock
Giant diamond
So fooled
I’m just a fool
His fibbing fool
April first
Fooled
Fooled, forever fooled
The most beautiful bride
Walking grand aisle
A princess carriage ride
Kitchen Boss creates tiered cake
Breaking through the clouds
The top of all wedding cakes
To
Die
For!
Fooled, forever fooled
A virgin’s honeymoon
Negligee delight
Handsome would make me swoon
We’d dance among starry night
Off like a rocket
Yet fooled
Precious years
Sportingly fooled
April first fooled
Fooled, forever fooled
Could be a small chapel
Hanging off a cliff
No bridesmaids in chapel
I just want to be married
To him I think I love
Over the threshold carried
Am
I
Dreaming?
Fooled, forever fooled (Fooled, forever fooled)
All that I dream of (All that I dream of)
A fairytale bond (A fairytale bond)
Happy ever after (Happy ever after)
Instead I do nothing but
Stay in a bad mood
Oh fool!
Stupendous fool
I’m just a fool
His fibbing fool
Sportingly fooled
Worm-on-hook fooled
April first
Fooled

Food Glorious Food musical Oliver
Song by Laurence Jeffcoate
Is it worth the waiting for
If we live 'till eighty-four
All we ever get is
Gruel
Everyday we say our prayer
Will they change the bill of fare
Still we get the same old
Gruel
Theres not a crust
Not a crumb
Can we find
Can we beg
Can we borrow or cadge
But there's nothing to stop us from getting a thrill
When we all close our eyes and imagine
Food, glorious food
Hot sausage and mustard
While we're in the mood
Cold jelly and custard
Peas, pudding and saveloys
What next is the question
Rich gentlemen have it, boys
In-die-gestion!
(Uggh)
Food, glorious food
We're anxious to try it
Three banquets a day
Our favorite diet
Just picture a great big steak
Fried, roasted or stewed
But food
Wonderful food
Marvelous food
Glorious
Food!
Food, glorious food
What is there more handsome
Gulped, swallowed, or chewed
Still worth a king's ransom
What is it we dream about
What brings on a sigh
Piled peaches and cream about
Six
Feet
High!
Food, glorious food
Eat right through the menu
Just loosen your belt
Two inches and then you
Work up a new appetite
In this interlude
Then food
Once again
Fabulous food
Glorious food
Food, glorious food
Don't care what it looks like
Burned, underdone, crude
Don't care what the cooks like
Just thinking of growing fat
Our senses go reeling
One moment of knowing that
Full
Up
Feeling
Food, glorious food (Food, glorious food)
“What wouldn't I give for (What wouldn't I give for)
That extra bit more (That extra bit more)
That's all that I live for (That's all that I live for)
Why should I be fated to
Do nothing but brood”
Magical food
Wonderful food
Marvelous food
Fabulous food
Beautiful food
Glorious
Food
