Flying by a Waxing Crescent
A big round moon for Halloween,
a sight that is not often seen.
Unfortunately, the witch must fly
by a waxing crescent in the sky.
Will it be orange, will it be white?
will it even be in sight?
A big round moon full to be seen
will be present day Thirteen,
a little early for her flight
that is planned for Halloween night.
Will she have sufficient light?
For her broomstick to fly right?
You’ll hear her in the spooky dark
cackle as she crosses the arc
on her Halloween crescent lark.
