Flowers To Florish
Am trying to prepare a few poems for my poetry revisited meeting this weekend. See what you think of these and let me know how you feel
about them. What would also be interesting is if I could forward this to
every retired and active English teacher in Brunswick County, NC. That
could create quite a meeting and a stir. Jim Horn
Flowers To Flourish
If April showers, we never have had,
For my flowers, this may be very bad;
Their growth this did severely hinder
And were burned to crisp like a cinder.
Want and prefer my flowers to flourish;
Understand them must properly nourish,
Just as if love you have for someone
You won't want to be over and done.
If many or most flowers ended up brown,
Version of my poem was watered down;
Some with flowers should have shared
Showing for them how much I had cared.
