Flickering

Flickering, dancing across the table Liquid wax creeping down the shaft Hardening with slow movements in the vertical drop Breath exhales across the flame, to ignite a higher glow Dim light calms and the flame caresses sensuous skin Mellow mood, enjoys the flame show across the table and wall Contemplating emotions, options that don't want to surface Forbidden in my subconscious, now arising from exhaustion of spirit and will Colors morph before my eyes, leaving my mind reeling What's real and fantasy, in this candle heated flame show? What's real in my mind? On this dark forboding night with just a soft flame flicker, Between my mind and insanity.

There is something about candle glow that evokes such wonderings of the mind of which you have captured and painted so vividly with words. SENSATIONAL WRITING, Doris. Congratulations on your win. Love, Lainie
