Flatlined

FLATLINED I am looking at the line, but not one blip found This heart is dead, every feeling been drowned I know I’m still here, but; just in a different way No sunshine shining, everything looking as grey All boxes packed; somewhere in there my heart Looking forward to unpacking it; to better start Place it on the mantelpiece, protected by thorns Until it is truly ready to leave all the past storms I will check it every day waiting for just one sign That it has paid it dues and, wants out to shine Take it back to family: who loved it for what it is Give it new life to watch it grow happily and, live Indiana Shaw . . . -_-
