First Snow Storm

Owls take shelter in snow covered nests. As cold winds howl, blowing wet leaves. Snow blankets the drab ground white, as ice coats barren limbs. Crackling and swaying, as tree limbs fall. Snapping lines, darkness. Storm. 11/8/22 Contest: A November Nonet Poetry Contest Sponsor: Andrea Dietrich (Checked with Howmanysyllables)

Snow storms can be a scary thing. We were without power for a few days during one of the worst snow storms I had ever experienced... You've perfectly captured the scene in this poem. Great work, Tania! Best wishes for the contest!

You set the scene very well, Tania. I can picture the whole dreary setting as snow begins to fall.
