First Dawn
First dawn nears, as I await
her touch, deep within view
gentle winds sing, side by side
along, the wake of a rising sea
Here in the calm, here with the peace
morning, reaching for a voice
long before the rise of her
sun, lain down, a blanket of choice
But the choice has long been made
the surf holds your footprints near
from those thousand nightly walks
in my mind, shall they never disappear
Light, bring her warmth to my fore
where caresses leave me drawn
rubbing soft the smooth of her skin
entwined, dawn breaks, love lives on
